Elegant remodel in Sebastopol by Iconic Home Builders

Back in 2020 I began working with Iconic Home Builders, a boutique contracting firm specializing in the build of custom homes primarily in Sonoma County.

The company is run by husband and wife team Krischan and Melanie Sandovol. Melanie coordinates everything in the office while Krischan manages his teams on site. Between the two of them, they wear many hats and run a wonderfully detailed operation to build beautiful homes.

I first met with Krischan and Melanie to capture some lifestyle images of the duo in their office. They were easy to work with and a natural in front of the camera.

Our next project was a stunning custom home near Fountain Grove in Santa Rosa (which I’ll post about later).

Fountain Grove is a upscale neighborhood in the East hills of Santa Rosa. Unfortunately in 2017, Fountain Grove experienced devastating loses as many homes were burned to the ground during the 2017 fires in Napa Valley and Sonoma County.

Thankfully the area has seen tremendous resilience from the community, homeowners, and contractors. Several homes have been resurrected, many of which have a contemporary flair.

Onward to our recent photo shoot in Sebastopol photographed in late 2022. Krischen and Melanie designed a remodel all the way down to the studs. A spacious, single story home with eye-capturing wooden beams, custom doors, and a beautiful contemporary kitchen.
