Nestled in to the heart of the wine country, among mainstream giants such as Opus One, Cakebread Cellars, and Silver Oak Winery, you can find one of my favorite wineries adjacent to the industry titans: Sequoia Grove Winery.
Producing incredible Cabernet Sauvignon, Sequoia Grove has established a reputation most wineries can only dream of. Intimate ambiance, professional service, aesthetic winery grounds, and of course, amazing wines.
In addition to Cabernet Sauvignon, they produce some of the classic Bordeaux varietals (including a great Cabernet Franc), a few blends, a Chardonnay, and more. The wines are top notch Napa Valley quality, and actually quite affordable compared to some of the neighbors.
A few months ago I received an inquiry from the Marketing Manager of the winery, interested in my photography services to help showcase a new tasting room and culinary program. I was elated to work with a winery I had long admired.
Sequoia Grove underwent some renovations recently, adding the “Cambium Room” (with a new wine label to match the name) as a new addition to their tasting room experiences. The Cambium is a mix of rustic wood tones, soft maize colored cushions, tasteful patterns, elegant fixtures, and ample space. Think contemporary Lake Tahoe cabin with a wine country highlight.
The ultimate goal for the Cambium room is to host the wineries new culinary program, highlighted by newly hired and talented Chef Britney Sundin Maureze.
The Cambium room will entertain guests with 5 course tasting menus, concocted by Chef Britney, and paired to Sequoia Grove wines.
